Our History

The story of Bingaman &Son Lumber begins in the 1930s with Carson C. Bingaman, a general store owner with a vision. He began supplying Appalachian hardwoods to anthracite coal mining companies in neighboring counties. These hardwoods were essential for shoring mine shafts and quickly earned a reputation for quality and durability.

Growth into a Full-Time Business

As demand for quality wood grew, Carson expanded his business to supply cabinetmakers, flooring manufacturers, and furniture producers. His focus on quality and customer satisfaction laid the foundation for a trusted reputation in the hardwood industry. In 1968, Bingaman & Son Lumber, Inc. was officially incorporated, marking a pivotal milestone in the company’s evolution.
